Hammond Report November 21 2021 From Pandemic Quarantino Jon Hammond - Daily Music and Stories from Jon Hammond the organ player & accordionist - today's music story with me playing a solo gig the other day and I just went down to early bird parking lot sale at the legendary Down Home Music Store - very windy this morning! Sadly I heard last night that Slide Hampton the great jazz trombonist has passed at the age of 89 years old - I met him 30 years ago when I was living in Hamburg - I tell the story about his birthday as guest with NDR Bigband - he will be greatly missed!
