We're playing my original composition "Lydia's Tune" here on the outdoor stage Day 1 as doors opened, beautiful photos from Master Photographer Lawrence Gay, covered us like a blanket, thank you Lawrence! Hammond Report December 5 2020 from Pandemic Quarantino - Daily Music and Stories from the organist & accordionist Jon Hammond, today's story about playing my tune "Head Phone" in at 97th and Columbus in NYC August of 1989. I broke out my 1959 Hammond B3 organ for the 5 night gig. We played a lot of my original compositions for the first time at Mikell's - on the band Barry Finnerty guitar, Bernard Purdie drums, congas & percussion, Alex Foster tenor and yours truly Jon Hammond at the Hammond B3 organ.

Hammond Report December 2 2020 from Pandemic Quarantino - Daily Music and Stories from the organist & accordionist Jon Hammond, today's story about playing an in-store gig at legendary organ trio with on tenor, David Luce drums - Marc cooked up a big pot of his famous 'Red Beans & Rice' for everybody, only he was short on beans and added a lot of sliced up Hebrew National hotdogs which gave everybody incredible gas for days! I ran in to founder of / Down Home Music at a restaurant not long after and Chris thought that was hilarious!
